Gift Certificate How-to

Just as any other gift certificate, BDSM Store gift certificates are great to give to that special person when you don't know what to buy them, you just know they'll enjoy whatever they decide to buy. We offer gift certificates in many values ($20, $40, $60, etc)  so you can select just the right one. They are great for Birthdays, Holidays or any other occasion.

How do Gift Certificates work at The BDSM Store ?

When you buy a gift certificate at The BDSM Store, you will select whether you want it sent to the ship address on the order OR e-mailed to a recipient. 

If you select to have it sent to the ship-to address, we will send a printed gift certificate in a nice envelope. Each gift certificate has a unique number code on it which will be needed to redeem it. See below for more details.

If you chose to have us e-mail it to the Recipient, once your order has been processed, we will send an electronic copy of it to them along with some instruction so they can began using it.

When the Recipient comes to The BDSM Store, they will shop as normal and when they checkout, they will have the ability to enter the gift certificates number and the amount will automatically be deducted from the merchandise total portion of the order. order total.

If the amount of the gift certificate exceeds the total of the order, our staff will convert the remaining amount into BDSM Bucks Rewards Points so the Recipient can use the remainder at a later time.

How do I redeem a gift certificate ?

First, go shopping and select your items, then go thru the checkout process and there will be an area that asks for "Discount or Gift Certificate Code". This is where you will enter the GIFT CERTIFICATE NUMBER that is in the top right hand corner. When you proceed with your order, the system will automatically deduct the amount from your order total and show any remaining amount( taxes and shipping can not be paid for with a gift certificate). If the total merchandise amount  is $0, but the gift certificate was for more than the merchandise total, ....that's ok. When we process the order, any amount left over on the gift certificate will be credited to your BDSM Bucks Reward Points account by our customer service staff for later use. We will credit you one (1) point for every five cents ($0.05)

My Gift Certificate is for more than I want to spend, can you give me cash back ?

Unfortunately, no we can not, however the excess will be converted into BDSM Bucks Reward Points that you can use at a later date.

I've lost my Gift Certificate, can you tell me what the number is ?

We are not always able to keep track of  when and to whom Gift Certificates were issued, therefore we can guarantee that we can replace it or even find the number. However, if you have this problem, please use the contact Customer Service link at the top and we will see if we can locate the number or replace it. However, if the certificate was issued via e-mail, any information will be sent to that e-mail address. If we are replacing a lost certificate that was printed and shipped, it will be sent to the ship-to address that it was originally sent.

Can a Gift Certificate be used more than once ?

No, once is all that is allowed, excess amounts will be converted to BDSM Bucks Reward Points in the account of the person who used it.

I have tried to use a gift certificate, however it says I owe for Shipping and/or Taxes, what gives ?

All Shipping costs and taxes have to be paid with the order and can not be paid with the gift certificate. This is something the gods came up with and since we are not one of them, we are powerless to change it.
